Frequently asked questions

What is PlaceVolt?

PlaceVolt is a site-selection platform for public EV charging infrastructure in Sweden. It produces an explainable Site Potential Score for addresses, built from charging-station data from NOBIL/Swedish Energy Agency and Open Charge Map. Regional reports add statistics on cars, income and traffic where such data exist. Anything that cannot be computed for an address is marked as such in the report.

Is the score a revenue forecast?

No. It is a potential/opportunity score, not a revenue or utilisation forecast. Always validate with a site visit, grid connection, permits and private data before an investment decision.

Which data sources are used?

NOBIL/Swedish Energy Agency for charging stations, SCB for population, Lantmäteriet for geodata, Trafikverket for road context and Svenska kraftnät for electricity bidding areas. Sources and confidence are shown in every report.

What does it cost?

Previewing a site in the app is free and needs no account. A site report costs SEK 1 690 excluding moms (SEK 2 112.50 including moms). Other prices are listed under Reports and subscriptions.
